Hospital Parking Lot

American, Sandwiches

This delightful food truck is the closest to the Hospital front door and serves mostly typical American food with some pitas on the side. Though the most frequent order appears to be hot dogs with relish, it also has moderately priced sandwiches and a friendly staff. The owner was wearing a Crepe Walk shirt when I stopped by, and it turns out that he started The Crepe Walk about five years ago and just recently sold it to our friend Tommy. Because of the connection, he affectionately refers to this new truck as the Steak Walk. If you have a few minutes to walk over to the hospital, this cart is strongly recommended. Be careful, however, because it is only open for lunch and always has a fairly long line. -AG

The majority of their food is all homemade, like the pulled pork, and sausage in tomato gravy (thats right, GRAVY! not jarred sauce) the checken is all real boneless skinless chicken breast, and the cheesesteaks are huge!! you cant go wrong with this cart! -Ben Franklin

Tasty cheese steak. Not overflowing, but by no means skimpy. Hot, salty, meaty, and cheesy, I will return. The owner was very friendly. -Ben Franklin

I've been eating from this truck for almost 9 years now, and the food is always good. The staff is always friendly, and boy do they work. The description says they're only open for lunch, but they are there early for breakfast. Try a steak, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast and you'll be telling your friends to get one too. -Mike W

I ordered a veggie pita special without the special (it's just a drink and chips for a buck fifty extra). The sandwich was very good, though it was a little messy as I walked to DRL. Even though the owners were very busy making other sandwiches, they were very friendly in answering my questions about the history of the truck. I would strongly recommend this truck if you are in the hospital area. -AG

Bang for the Buck:How good of a deal is this food truck? Was the dish microwaved, bland, and priced like a Steven Starr restaurant?
