Description

Generic mexican fare, from the same owners as the MexiCali restaurant on 40th street. You can customize the burritos with plantains, sweet potatoes or roasted peppers, or sour cream and guacamole. Each addition adds quite a bit to the cost though so expect to pay more than five bucks. Beware, if you want a hot burrito that still has chunky salsa on it, you have to say hot and mild. -AH

Pretty much everything is $5 (which takes figuring out how much I\'ll pay out of the equation) and the food is excellent. \r\n\r\nI recommend the Burrito plate. (The medium salsa is the one without Cilantro.) -Rob

Their burritos and tacos are pretty good and filling, especially for a food cart. They are a nice change up from Chipotle or Qdoba and offer nearly the same amount for a cheaper price. The guy owner is a bit cranky and rude, but the place is worth checking out. -Ben Franklin

The food is pretty good, but their portions are much smaller so it doesn\'t seem as worth it to me. The biggest turnoff though iis interacting with the owner. He at best sounds bored and curt, and often he is just completely rude and condescending. Even simple questions about the food is met with unhelpful, condescending remarks. Utterly uncalled for and it has really ruined my experience. I\'d much rather go somewhere else where the food service fresher and better anyway. -student

mmm sweet potato burrito Sat, 21 Sep 2013

MexiCali\'s sweet potato and chicken burrito is to die for! Portions are large, the owner is incredibly friendly, and they even offer whole wheat tortillas for no extra charge. At $6 a pop it may seem a bit pricey, but that\'s still much less than you\'ll pay at chipotle for what I think is a lesser burrito. -Ben Franklin

I wasn\'t sure how to rate convenience; I\'m not one to eat on the go. How about taste? This stuff is good! Beef nachos with guac - the beef is tender and tastes terrific, guac is fresh and the right consistency. Portion more than enough. Not a steal, but well worth the $$. -gazby

GREAT burritos, very unique combinations! You do have to wait a bit to get your burrito, and the truck isn't there a whole lot, but the best cart I have been to! -lovefood

Can't beat a delicious and hearty meal for as low as $2.25, but the truck never seems to be there when I want or need it most. -Deb Franklin
